First Round | Video
[The subject of today's video is Dio's Zubat which flutters in and out of the view of the camera. He's still not used to actually filming anything, so keeping it on screen is hardly his main concern at the moment.
As for where he is, he's not stupid. He read the evil villain handbook and figured it's not a good idea to show off anything pertaining to that (not that he minds showing off), so once the day's training was done (as if they could teach him anything), he decided the grass just outside town would be the best place to learn how to use this weird thing.]
Tell me, what exactly am I meant to do with such a creature? Where I come from, these things are usually seen as pests, if not worse, but if this handbook is to believed, I'm actually supposed to care for the thing.
[He'll omit sharing with the viewer which handbook he's read.]
I don't doubt that's the case, but still, being newly arrived to this world, I would like some reassurance. After all, if I'm meant to travel the land, collecting badges with such a baffling creature, it would comfort me to know someone else has done the same.
[And perhaps they'll tell him of their Pokemon and their accomplishments as well. After all, he's one of their own. A trainer. Why wouldn't they share with him?]
Oh, and please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Dio Brando. I look forward to meeting your acquaintance.
[...and using these fools to climb higher and higher in this ridiculous Pokemon world.]

Don't worry about it. You're just a kid. [He manages, with some effort, to maintain a poker face.] I can see your stripes but I know you're clean.
And he has absolutely no idea why Blake chose to phrase things that particular way either. In other words, Dio doesn't see what he means.]
Yes, of course. Believe me, I'd never dream of doing anything untoward.
[...or would he?]
To do so would certainly be a poor way to repay the kindness I've been shown by everyone I've spoken with today.
You're a lot politer than most kids I run into. Your parents must be real strict for people who'd name their kid after the guy who sang Killing the Dragon.
[Especially back home, when he usually ran into kids when they were getting hauled in for underage drinking or tossing rocks through windows.]
And he has zero comments about Killing the Dragon. Its another nonsensical reference to him...or who knows, it might be the name of somebody back home he hasn't met yet. It could really go either way in Jojoland.]
And my parents hardly...
[He frowns.]
Let's just say my upbringing has little to do with it. However, the family that's taken me in has shown me nothing but respect and kindness, so I see little reason to not try my hardest to live up to their example.
[...hahaha, even he, Dio, can hardly believe he said with a straight face.]
Blake gets the idea.]
Foster family, huh. That's rough.
[There's something approaching sympathy on his face. He knows the story without being told. Parents into the metal scene, probably drug addicts.]
[...considering the way Dario died and the fact that he was trying to loot an accident scene, Blake's thoughts there wouldn't be too far off.]
[Surely an upstanding young fellow like you is full of respect for the law.]
[Dio's opinion on the law is basically that the law is there for people who aren't Dio.]
If you run into any trouble here, you come to me.
Of course, thank you very much for looking out for me.
[, Dio.]
